Wo die Liebe hinfällt – Jedes Paar ist anders

In love with an old gentleman in a cowboy hat. That could be the name of Sarah’s love story. When the 26-year-old was traveling through the U.S., she met and fell in love with Rand, 45 years her senior, in Yellowstone National Park. Since then, the two have been unstoppable and constantly on the lookout for new thrills. But they can’t grow old together. This is not only due to their enormous age difference, but also because Rand has been diagnosed with incurable cancer. Despite chemo, he has at most two years to live. But the adventurous couple won’t let that get them down. With a bucket list in their luggage, they travel around NRW and Sarah fulfills Rand’s dream of flying in a helicopter.

After a dark past, 23-year-old theology student Rebecca wants to become a prison pastor and encourage people in difficult life situations. So it happens that she writes a letter to a devout inmate in Jackson in the USA and falls in love with him after emotional conversations about their shared faith. At this point, Kory still has to serve two of a total of twelve years. But the two don’t want to wait that long to commit to each other forever, so they promptly get married in prison – without ever having spent any undisturbed time together. Rebecca’s family is shocked. For a life together with her husband, Rebecca must now leave her family. She travels to the U.S. to renovate the future home with her father-in-law Arthur and grandpa-in-law Howard, and of course, to visit her beloved Kory. However, the conditions in prison are anything but romantic.
